Please pray for all those who have been executed (more than 1,000), kidnapped, wounded and tortured in Israel by hate-filled murderers who think they are doing "Allah's will." I know religious leaders who have made great efforts to reach out to the Islamic world, but sadly many have embraced hatred instead of repentance and forgiveness.
It is eye-opening to see Palestinian demonstrators celebrating these horrific attacks in New York City.[i]
Israel shut down 21 settlements in the Gaza strip and evacuated Israeli settlers and the army in 2005. Instead of embracing this gesture as an opportunity for peace, Palestinians in Gaza elected Hamas which has repeatedly stated its intention to destroy Israel and all Jews living there.
I do think that these mass murders show the reality that police and soldiers cannot be expected to defend all citizens in a nation. If each Israeli citizen had a firearm then at least they could have defended themselves and their families instead of being helplessly slaughtered. It seems that the Israeli government has finally realized the need to loosen its gun control laws.[ii]
Each of us must be the first responder, not a police officer or soldier, who may not show up until there are already dead bodies all over the ground.
Given the fact that millions of unvetted migrants have streamed over the U.S. southern border, all Americans should be prepared for the possibility of terrorist attacks here as well.[iii]
Common sense calls for Peace through Strength, not "peace" through weakness.
God bless,
Richard
